Make a Victorian-style Kiss Lock Purse, for Teens (ages 13+) and Adults

Thursday, April 36:00—8:00 PMLocal History RoomHamilton-Wenham Public Library14 Union Street, South Hamilton, MA, 01982

Make a beautiful, lined, Victorian style purse with a kiss lock frame. These snap frame purses look tricky but are actually quite simple to sew. We will be hand-sewing this purse. You must be able to thread a needle and sew using a running stitch. If you have a pin cushion (a place to rest your needle so you don't lose it) and/or a small sewing scissors (for snipping threads) they would be useful to bring, however, they are not necessary. All sewing supplies (needles, thread, fabric, & frame) to make the purse will be provided.

For teens ages 13 and up, and adults.  Registration is required, as space is limited.

This workshop is part of a series of programs and events in support of our community read books: The Lioness of Boston, by Emily Franklin, and Dodger, by Terry Pratchett.

Registration for this event opens Saturday, March 1 at 9:00 AM.
