About the Presenter:  Rivka Schwartz has loved plants and the outdoors since childhood. If not outside, she could frequently be found cooking in the kitchen.  After marrying her husband and giving birth to three boys, these passions combined. The experience of watching out for the health of her family lead her to realize the importance of diet and how herbs can be used to promote health, not just when ill, but to encourage everyday health and vitality.

Rivka completed a two-year course in herbal medicine and continued on into advanced clinical studies.  She is always actively learning and increasing her knowledge and skills; reading, keeping up with herbal and medical studies, attending workshops & classes, and working with other experienced herbalists. Rivka studied at the Mayo Clinic and received a certification as a Wellness Coach.  Over the past 20 years, she has been helping people with health concerns using natural medicine.  Since college she has been an environmental educator working with children and adults.
